WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for October 2017: The October 2017 estimate is 13,726,000 barrels, an increase of 5.6% versus October 2016 removals of 12,998,000. Please note that the estimates reflect revised estimates released by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

WASHINGTON, DC – Today the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for September 2017: The September 2017 domestic tax paid estimate is 14,426,000 barrels. September 2016 removals were 15,175,000 barrels, for a decrease of 4.9%. Please note that the estimates reflect revised estimates released by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act Reaches Backing from 51 Senators WASHINGTON, DC— Leaders of the Beer Institute, Brewers Association, Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, Wine Institute and WineAmerica released the following statement after Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) became the 51st member of the United States Senate to officially endorse the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act (S. 236).

AUGUST 3, 2017 – Today, the Beer Institute, an industry trade association whose members include domestic brewers of all sizes as well as beer importers and beer industry suppliers, announced that it submitted comments to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the extension of the compliance date for the final rule, Nutrition Labeling of Standard Menu Items in Restaurants and Similar Retail Food Establishments, to May 7, 2018.
