BEER INSTITUTE POLL: 76% OF SUPER BOWL CELEBRANTS PLAN TO DRINK BEER DURING THE BIG GAME
Washington, D.C. — The Beer Institute today released the results of its latest survey, finding 76 percent of Americans celebrating the Super Bowl this year plan to drink beer as part of their festivities. Additionally, the poll found 78 percent of those planning to enjoy beer while taking part in Super Bowl activities said it was an important part of the experience, with half of those respondents saying beer was very important to their Super Bowl celebration.
BEER INSTITUTE RELEASES NOVEMBER 2018 DOMESTIC TAX PAID ESTIMATE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for November 2018: The November 2018 estimate is 11,795,000 barrels, a decrease of 6.0% vs. November 2017 removals of 12,552,000. Please note that the estimates reflect revised estimates released by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).
Beer Institute Releases 2018 Commitment to Responsibility White Paper
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Beer Institute released its 2018 Commitment to Responsibility White Paper, which details the many efforts by America’s brewers and beer importers to reduce drunk driving and ensure alcohol beverages are only sold to adults of legal drinking. Beer Institute Applauds Senate Legislation Allowing More Oversight, Investigation into Aluminum Markets
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Beer Institute released the following statement on Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) introducing the Aluminum Pricing Examination (APEX) Act (S. 3569), which would provide the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) the clear jurisdiction to conduct oversight – and investigate as needed – price reporting and price setting entities within aluminum markets.

Beer Institute disappointed about President Trump’s announcement to maintain tariffs on aluminum imports as part of U.S.-Canada-Mexico Trade Deal
