I served in the Army National Guard, where I learned the importance of teamwork, resilience, and perseverance. Those experiences shaped me and taught me to value the connections we form when facing challenges together.
While I didn’t expect to end up in the beer industry, once I started working with hops, it made sense. The teamwork and problem-solving felt familiar, like the camaraderie I experienced in the military. Seeing how our hops bring people together through beer has been a rewarding experience.
Beer, to me, has always been about connection—just like in the military, where we leaned on each other to accomplish our goals. Now, I have the privilege of being part of an industry that brings people together in similar ways. There’s something special about knowing that the hops we produce become part of the beer that people share in moments of celebration or reflection.
