“Wow, what a great job.” That’s the typical reaction I get when I tell people I work for the Beer Institute as a lawyer. I agree. Serving as BI’s General Counsel is a great job. I get to be part of one of this country’s most competitive industries with more breweries than ever, more challenging legal issues than ever, and more opportunities to frame the future than ever. I have the privilege of representing their interests in DC and in other parts of the US and the world. Best yet, while brewers may not always agree about regulation or legislation, they happily come together at the end of the day to raise a cold one.
